Solid Gold Cat Food

I started feeding my cats Solid Gold about a year ago and they love it.  I feed them the Katz-n-Flocken which is a lamb formula.  A few things I really like about this food more so than others I have fed them in the past is that it’s a hollistic all natural food and it doesn’t have any sort of chemicals or preservatives in it.

The first thing to look for when reading the label is the first ingredient listed.  It should always be the meat or protein that is in the food.  The first thing listed on this food label is lamb and chicken meal.  Solid Gold doesn’t have a bunch of fillers in it so your cats don’t need to eat as much of it to get their nutrients so it lasts longer.  One cup of this food has about 323 calories in it.  The two formulas available on the market are the Katz-n-Flocken and the Indigo Moon.  Neither of these foods contain any soy, corn, wheat or saturated fats.

Solid Gold may be a bit more expensive than other brands at the store but it’s good for your cat and that’s the most important thing.  Not to mention they absolutely love it!
